Scoundrel's Ball almost ends in execution

The Scoundrel's Ball, held by Countess Andromeda west of Mos Eisley last night, featured drinks, drinking games, outdoor activites and a planned swoop race, which had to be cancelled due to a faulty race droid.

During the swoop race preparations, a group of three armored and armed men penetrated the bunker the ball was held in, and confronted Mul-Bi, who was attending with his wife, Ki'misha, and a few business partners and friends. Referring to some unspecified slight, the three attackers dragged the man outside, threatening him with death if he would not apologise for whatever he had done, and listen to his wife in the future.

Mul-Bi, despite insisting he did not know what the whole incident was about, apologised, yet was shot several times with a rifle anyway before the three attackers left. Mul-Bi's wife, which was almost hysterical at this point and supposedly had to be restrained so as not to get hurt by the attackers, and his friends immediately rushed to treat him, and could confirm his survival. Mul-Bi himself was conscious, if drunk.

It is clear that a message has been sent, but no one, not even the shot recipient, seems to know what the message is supposed to be. Friends of the victim affirmed that this was not a sign of trouble in the marriage, and stated that the remarks about "listening to your wife" by the attackers were most likely aimed at sowing confusion. Investigations into the matter are underway.
