Imperial Stormtroopers Ambushed in Riva Dorata

Riva Dorata, which was the place of a firefight between a stormtrooper patrol and suspected terrorists, saw more combat yesterday when another Imperial patrol was ambushed. This started a spread out battle in which the attackers - most likely rebel troops - used grenades and even poison, leaving several troopers wounded.

According to eye witnesses, one trooper even was captured and taken away in a V-35, pursued by an Imperial troop carrier. In the process of the pursuit, a rebel base was discovered and destroyed by orbital bombardment. The fate of the abducted trooper remains unknown.

This increasing violence as well as the use of area-effect weapons such as grenades in town raises concerns about the safety of both residents and visitors to Riva Dorata. CorSec reactions to this latest incident which seems to indicate a clear and unsettling trend towards fighting in urban areas are not yet known, but it is sincerely hoped that actions will be taken to avoid a second Restuss.

Until then visitors to the town may better be cautious, and remain indoors whenever possible.
