Based upon several eyewitnesses reports from space miners, there was a large battle in the Yavin system's asteroid belt last night. The reports are contradicting themselves in parts, but all agree that a large imperial task force was seen fighting in and around the asteroid belt.
Sector Command of the Imperial Navy only commented that a rebel attack on a mining facility was foiled by patrols in the area, but usually informed sources claim that there was a larger operation taking place, and some eye witnesses report imperial bombers attacking an asteroid facility protected by rebel ships.
Military experts conclude that since nothing about this was mentioned officially, then the operation either failed, or is part of a larger, still confidential operation. They could only speculate what is behind this new activity in asteroids though.
