According to a released news bulletin, yesterday, the Imperial Navy in the sector launched an attack on the rebel-controlled Space Station in the Yavin system. A task force composed of Omega and Claw Squadron pilots, commanded by Tek, attacked and took the station with minimal losses. From what is known this was not just due to the skill and determination of the attackers, but also thanks to the rebels having been committed to an attack on the Imperial staging area, near Endor.
There, units from Claw Squadron and Dark Flight a well as Crimson Squadron faced a strong rebel attack. Despite the high number of attacking rebel craft, the assault was beaten back with light losses among the defenders after intense fighting around the space station. According to reports, the space station took some damage, but remains operational.
Following those battles, remaining rebel units were engaged and destroyed in Deep Space by a task force operating with the ISD “Annihilator”. After hours, when the fighting was down to the occasional skirmish, the task force withdrew.
