Two days ago, a YT-2400 class freighter transporting a cargo for Halephax Munitions Inc. was attacked by unidentified ships in the Karthakk system right next to Lok Orbital Station. Despite the intervention of an escorting YT-2400, the transport was damaged, but succeeded in landing safely.
Unconfirmed reports speak of a "situation" at the landing site following the attack, but no fighting was witnessed. Other unconfirmed rumors however state that Halephax Munitions Inc. is considering to put out a number of bounties on as of yet not specified persons.
Lok has been the site of numerous pirate attacks in the past as well as other violent crimes, and local freighter captains may start to demand higher rates or escorting fighters when hired to travel to that planet.
