Imperial Navy Sector Command announced today that a rebel raid on mining vessels in the Dantooine system was foiled last night. Acting upon information gained by agents, several squadrons and flight groups were dispatched to the Dantooine system to stop rebel forces from gaining control and raiding the mining vessels in the area.
For over an hour, dedicated pilots from the Claw, Omega and Crimson Squadrons, the 101st "Onyx" decimator squadron as well as the fighter/bomber group Dark Flight defended the miners, and hunted down the attackers, finally managing to secure the system and making it safe for civilian traffic again.
Rebel attempts to use a commandeered vessel to mine from the asteroids were foiled despite heavy resistance as well, in the end forcing the rebels to abandon the system.
