Weapon convoy arrives safely

Halephax Munitions, whose founder Aonin Halephax we recently interviewed, has announced that its first convoy shipping weapon prototypes and parts from Naboo to Corellia, where its new facilities will be built, arrived safely at Coronet Starport. As the bulletin detailed, the four ships – the YT-1300 class ships “Spinning Cloud” flown by Ryian Coron and “True Vehemence”, flown by Andrasta Darkrain, as well as the YT-2400 class ships “She’s a Keeper”, flown by Auros Drayen, and “Racing Sky”, captained by K’yna Mont’yr on contract from the Tatooine Trading Corporation, took the cargo up in Kadara, Naboo, and headed to Coronet, Corellia.

Upon arriving in the Corellia system, four pirates attacked the convoy – a y-8 class ship, a modified YT-1300 freighter, and a Vaksai and X-Wing. The lead ship, “Racing Sky” engaged, supported by the “True Vehemence”, paving the way for the “Spinning Cloud” and “She’s a Keeper”. During the battle, the “True Vehemence” was damaged and had to be towed to the station for repairs, but all four pirates were driven off or destroyed. The identity of the pirates is not known at this point, but the known group “Sandstorm” is suspected, although other pirate groups are also under investigation.
