Attack on Fort Kane - Aak escapes

Last night the rebuilding efforts in the ruins of Zaken Hub were disrupted when unknown soldiers attacked at Fort Kane from the west. The attackers, thought to be aligned with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, were droven off after a long and pitched battle by the local garrison, though the attackers did manage to rescue several slaves forced to labor there, taking them with them while they retreated in good order.

Among the slaves missing after the attack was also the infamous Aak the Tyodarian, a slaver sentenced to prison over a year ago - and as was now apparent, to forced labor - for tax evasion. While it's not clear whether the former slaver was rescued or killed, anyone who is familiar with the wily toydarian would do well to assume he's not dead, and may be preparing his return to business - or his vengeance on whoever might have caused his arrest.
