Nomad Market on Tatooine

Last night the Nomad Market was held on Tatooine, a few kilometers south of Mos Carova. Visitors could enjoy a variety of tents and stalls and purchase a wide range of goods. Surprisingly for natives of Tatooine who have not visited the market before no violence occured during this, despite the presence of a large number of valuable goods, armed and armored sentients of all persuasions, and significant quantitiies of intoxicating substances - a combination which usually leads to at least a firefight, sometimes a small-scale war on this planet.

Out of the goods and services offered - among them some choice antiquities that fetched a very good price, a wide selection of livestock and pets and custom-tailored wardrobes - some were more noticeable than others.

According to rumors poison was sold wholesale by unscrupoulos individuals of various backgrounds, some deemed "witches", though whether that term was simply coined by competitors to defame them is not clear. In any case a number of people in higher positions might do well to be more careful with what food and drink they consume, or take other measures to prevent an eary demise.

A less ominous but equally surprising display was a group of mandalorians working to repair weapons and armor. As the mandalorians are one of the more numerous and common groups of mercenaries and widely known for being brutal and violent above average, seeing them pursue a more peaceful trade than slaughter and plunder gives us hope for this galaxy.
