After two of their ships were damaged by explosions on board, with one crashing and killing all hands aboard as a result, the Tatooine Trading Corporation announced today that those explosions were the result of bombs planted on their ships by a criminal in an attempt to extort money from the firm.
Instead of paying the sum that was demanded the corporation placed a bounty of 250'000 credits on the criminal, so far unidentified but labeled "Bomber X" by investigators. This was done, as explained, "in order to deter any other, similar attempt in the future". A spokesperson elaborated that as long as sufficient proof of guilt was delivered with a corpse a live capture was not needed to receive the bounty.
