Three days ago the IMC Convoy from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell came under attack by pirates in the Tatooine system again. The two ships forming the convoy, Britney's Nova Courier-class "Flameout" and Batair Highlanders YT-1300 "Highland Luck", had barely left Tatooine's orbit when three pirates - two X-Wings and an ARC-170 - attacked them.
In the fight that ensued the "Flameout" shot down the leading pirate X-Wing and an ARC-170 but was disabled and forced to dump its cargo. The "Highland Luck" had been chased and suffered from engine troubles, but managed to swing around and destroy the remaining pirate. The stolen ore was not recovered, but half the original cargo reached the Nova Orion Shipyards afterwards.
IMC shares fell 1% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
