Three pirates shot down

As expected last week, this week the Intergalactic Mining Company invested more in escorts for the freighters that transport the company's ore each week from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion shipyards in the Ord Mantell system. This week Captain Britney's "Sugar Rush", a YT-2400 light freighter, was escorted by four fighters - a Scrugg piloted by Golrin Lightinstar, an ETA-2 Actis interceptor piloted by "Rev", as well as Captain Edmuun Darkadder in his TIE Defender with a wingman in a TIE Inteceptor.

The Interceptor hypered into the Corellia System first to scout, and was attacked by three pirate ships - a Scrugg, an X-Wing and a Vaksai. The Interceptor broke off and led the pirates to the waiting remaining escort fighters, who engaged them at once at the Bynaire Razorcat Jump Point. In a short fight all three pirates were shot down without any escort being lost.



IMC shares rose 1 % at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
