Pirate downed, crew doused in beer

This week's convoy transporting ore for the Intergalactic Mining Company from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion shipyards in the Ord Mantell system was formed by Captain Ryian Coron's YT-1300 "Spinning Cloud" and Captain Britney's YT-2400 "Sugar Rush" and escorted by Barrenger Fynar in his Vaksai, "Krayt Dancer".

The convoy took off without trouble, but when Barrenger Fynar hypered into the Corellia system to make sure the hyperspace jump point was clear he was attacked by a pirate Scrugg and ended up disabled. The pirate tried to force the convoy to dump their cargo with the threat of killing the helpless pilot, but the "Sugar Rush" engaged the pirate, first driving him away, then shooting him down and foiling his ploy. After repairing the Vaksai all three ships reached Ord Mantell on schedule.

In the Nova Orion Station's main cantina Captain Coron doused all female crew members of the convoy in beer. Whether this was an attempt to start a wet t-shirt contest or done in celebration or both remains unclear - Captain Coron vacated the cantina right afterwards, followed by Auros Drayen.

IMC shares rose 1 % at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
