IMC Convoy raided by Rebel Alliance

Four days ago the Intergalactic Mining Corporation sent two ships and one escort with ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion shipyards in Ord Mantell. Leading the convoy was the Nova Courier "Blackhole's Son" of wookiee skipper Racacowlur, with Falcun Nix and Batair Highlander as gunners. Captain Kentt's Y-8 "Dieting Sarlacc" brought up the rear, with a mixed crew, and as escort served Muloki in an interceptor.

Muloki suffered from engine troubles shortly after arriving in the Naboo system though, and had to drop out for repairs. The convoy was soon afterwards attacked by a Y-wing, an X-wing and an ARC-170. The Y-wing and ARC-170 chased the fleeing convoy. Racacowlur shot down the ARC-170, but the "Dieting Sarlacc" was disabled by the remaining Y-wing, and then Racacowlur revealed that he was working with the pirates - or rather, rebel soldiers - stealing the cargo of ore after having subdued and hurt his own crew, and that his ship was actually the "Blindside".



The Y-8 was blown up soon afterwards, with the crew barely managing to use the escape pods. A Bellubab-22 fighter who tried to assist the crew was also shot down. Rumors of infighting following the raid were not substantiated so far, but Falcun Nix suffered severe injuries at the hand of the wookiee raider.

IMC's management has not yet commented on the raid, other than to offer a reward of 100'000 credits for the return of the cargo of ore, and to condemn the brutal attack on civilian shipping by members of the Rebel Alliance.

IMC shares fell 3% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
