IMC Convoy hampered by technical difficulties

Two days ago, a week after the disastrous last convoy, the Intergalactic Mining Corporation sent another freighter with ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion shipyards in Ord Mantell. Captain Alila Tisoni flew her Nova Courier "Selonian Dawn", with Falcun Nix, who was recovering from the injuries sustained in the last convoy, as main gunner. Inaera Kell and Barrenger Fynar flew as escorts.

Shortly after reaching the Naboo System at the Sea of Veruna jump point the convoy was attacked by an ARC-170. Both escorts engaged, but Inaera Kell's X-Wing suffered a stabilizer failure, getting stuck in a starboard roll, and was an easy target for the raider, forced to drop out of the fight with a damaged engine.



The ARC-170 attacked the "Selonian Dawn" next, who returned fire while Fynar engaged the raider, and after several intense minutes the pirate was finally shot down. In the meantime Inaeara's astromech, ZeeK, had managed emergency repairs which allowed her to rejoin the convoy. The Selonian Dawn suffered from engine trouble as well, and had to jury-rig some repairs before reaching Ord Mantell.

More pirate interference in the Ord Mantell systme right near the Nova Orion station caused further delays, but ultimately the ore was safely delivered to the Nova Orion shipyards. Whether the multiple technical difficulties were coincidence or due to sabotage is still unclear.

IMC shares rose 1% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
