"Exodus" almost destroyed by pirates while on relief mission

Last night the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell received notice that an Imperial Star Destroyer had been exiting hyperspace too close to an asteroid field and had suffered system damage as a result.

The Nova Orion Station disptached the "Exodus", a YT-1300 class light freighter captained by Wint Risden, to deliver spare parts to the havaried capital ship. Cyrinity Lee was hired as a recon pilot in her ARC-170 "Cloak and Dagger" to find a safe route to the Star Destroyer.

The "Cloak and Dagger" completed that mission, though when the "Exodus" launched the ship was found unable to move, the engines not responding and the reactor not working, and pirates attacked right in the vicinity of the Nova Orion Station. The freighter managed to get the engines working and took a detour to shake the pursuit off. The ARC-170 then led the YT-1300 to the Star Destroyer, skirting past another pirate group - to find the Star Destoyer surrounded by pirate craft.

The "Exodus" pressed on and managed to land on board the capital ship, though taking heavy damage in the process. Further damage was taken by both the "Exodus" and "Cloak and Dagger" during the unloading of the cargo and the flight back. Both ships are were transferred to the repair yard on the station upon their return.

So far no cause for the engine and reactor failure of the Exodus after launching has been found but sabotage is suspected.
