Yesterday the CorSec station on Vreni Island, Corellia, transmitted a garbled call for help before falling silent. When an investigation force arrived the agents found the island under attack by clone wars-vintage battle droids - a veritable army. Battle Droids, Droidekas and even less common droid types came in waves, threatening the local shuttleport and main supply line for the defenders at one point.
The droid invaders were defeated over the course of an hour-long battle by a hastily raised mixed force of soldiers and civilians, though not without causing considerable damage first.
