Merchant legend of Corellia closes shop

Date: 050210
Planet: Corellia
Region: Coronet

Story: (Written by the Galactic News Agency, Ramona doesn't write IC).

As was just confirmed by the Corellian Trade Association, merchant legend Yogol closed her shop south of Coronet, apparently retiring for good to enjoy her fortune. Yogol, a human female, has been a major force in Coronet's economy for years and her shop was widely known as having one of the best selections of rare and antique items of all kinds.

Yogol started humbly over six years ago, as an employee of the Coronet Starport, handling lost baggage claims as well as staffing the visitor's information center. She soon managed to turn the large number of contacts she made during her work into the foundation of a successful merchant business. In an age before the holonet allowed vendor searches she travelled the galaxy, following the most simple and yet most successful business plan for any merchant: Buy low, sell high.

Yogol became one of the most famous and successful merchants of Corellia, maybe even the galaxy, though her financial success was not without cost. Some competitors of her very vocally spoke up against her business, going as far as claiming she was responsible for the excesses of the sector's economy, mainly inflation and "price gauging". Despite the controversional tactics employed by her detractors, Yogol's business thrived, her fortune reaching legendary proportions.

Now it seems the charming yet wily woman has decided to enjoy the fruit of her long years of labor, and retire. The GNA wishes her the best for her new life.
