Two days ago scouting forces of the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic met and engaged in a prolonged battle in Deep Space. While neither side could achieve lasting space superiority both were able to hold the center of the sector for a limited time before enemy reinforcements drove them off.
The following records were released by the HQ of the Imperial Sector Fleet on Talus and show part of the battle:
