IMC Convoy ambushed and robbed by "Black Kuzaks"

Last week the Intergalactic Mining Corporation's weekly convoy was ambushed right after starting out from the Tatooine oribtal station. The two freighter carrying ore from Farpoint Valleey, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell, Athmis Thewix' YT-1300 "CORT Starflare" and the "Highland Luck" of Batair Highlander, another YT-1300, were escorted by two fighters, piloted by Barrenger Fynar and Ahl-Vinn, but this did not deter the pirates.

The convoy was attacked before reaching their planned hyperspace point and all ships were disabled in short order. While no lives were lost the freighters were forced to dump their cargo before help reached them. The pirates identivied themselves as the "Black Kuzaks", a until then unknwn gang, possibly of Lokian origin.



IMC's stock fell 2% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
