Last night the Nova Orion Station waited in vain for the "Bela Vista Express", an AEG-77 "Vigo" class ship which was scheduled for an engine maintenance session. A patrol finally found the wreckage of the ship drifting near the hyperspace jump point it had used to enter the system.
The surviving crew members reported that the ship had been attacked by an unidentified medium freighter, presumably of the same class but more heavily armed, right after entering the system and had been disabled and boarded after a short fight despite resistance from the crew. Kren Scente, a Corellian investor and the ship's owner, was kidnapped by the boarders after the bridge crew was overpowered and the wreck left to drift.
Mister Scente has made a small fortune investing in defense technology firms during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War and according to his last interview by Coronet Business Weekly he was about to reveal a "very promising project" in the near future. His current whereabouts are unknown, no ransom demand has been sent by the kidnappers so far. His family is anxiously awaiting any kind of news.
