Last week Jiwarri's Diner opened in Farpoint Valley. The wookiee chef has had a long career as caterer and was active as chef on cruises in the past, but hasn't had a diner before. Now, with her manager Ylurra taking care of the books and other administrative work, she can focus on cooking.
Located straight east of the town's shuttleport the diner is a cozy building, with family-friendly decorations, prominently among them Kashyyyk-styled miniature trees, and sturdy furniture. Upstairs an elegant dining room is available for parties who wish to dine in privacy. As entertainment a Galactic Tiles Arcade is offered, as well as sophisticated holographic and sound systems.
At the opening the diner was, inside and outside, decorated in the style of the Galactic Moon Festival, and some guests, among them the mayor of the town, were surprised if not to say scared by the holographic scares occasionally launched at them.
The main attraction though is Jiwarri's cooking, which was as great and tasty as expected, as a number of guests can attest to. Among them were Gwreng and his wife Amandiona, who had worked on the interiour decoration on the diner - according to Jiwarri she wouldn't have been able to open the diner without her - and several of their friends.
Gwreng and Leafbacca, Jiwarri's brother, together with veteran pilot Barrenger Fynar, spent almost more time at the arcade than eating though.
Also visiting were Ramona, Falcun Nix, Zinaida, Blissany and Ori'vod. The promise of genuine kashyyykian cusine attracted HarlieBear as well, a rather shy young wookiee girl, who nevertheless seemed to have enjoyed the outing.
