Two days ago the Imperial Navy undertook another operation in Deep Space, aimed at taking control of the sector and forcing rebel ships out. The imperial task force spearheading this operation was led by Commander Bain Drago, and supported by Gunships led by the "ISS Onyx Mauler".
The heavy rebel resistance caused serious casualties among the imeprial ships though. The following footage was released by the Imperial sector command:
Especially the imperial capital ships were struck more than usual, with unconfirmed rumors of shoddy worksmanship or even sabotage leading to power failures as the reason for several losses. Nevertheless during two hours of combat the rebel forces were forced on the defensive and ultimately decimated while the Imperial fighters and gunboats took control of Deep Space, destroying rebel installations within.
