Shakir wins the Farpoint Valley Karaoke Night for a second time

Date: 250608
Planet: Tatooine
Region: Farpoint Valley

Five days ago, the fifth Karaoke Night was held in the Grindhouse Bar in Farpoint Valley. Again, a diverse crowd was drawn in to compete for the surprise prize. For the first time, there was not just a prize for the winner, but also a prize for a random contestant. There were surprising talents among the crowd mostly made up by spacers, merchants and mercenaries.

Auros Drayen started the contest with another version of "Soldier Boy". Ikoogy Retoodi gave a fanfar solo afterwards, as much to impress the crowd as to impress the pretty rodian lady A'Keti. Then the songs continued with John Vetrano's "Lapti Nek", followed by Ryian Coron's "Jabba, he knows me". Dexis then performed "Waiting on the Galaxy to change" before Shakir, who had won the last Karaoke Night, and with it a flying pet, sang a song dedicated to Thoram Destinia, founder of Wonderlust, and her teacher. "Thoram, be good!". Eof then presented the more somber and melancholic "Fade to Black", followed by the twi'lek musician Alri with "Dreadnaught Lullaby". Pilot Mario'G sang "Viva la Vida", before Marcia brought the contest to a close with the classic "Fett's Vette".

When the votes started to come in it was soon clear that Shakir had won a second time - and another surprise egg. Ikoogy won the random suprise prize. So far the contents of both eggs are not known.

Afterwards, the "Teal Twi'lek group", made up by Shakir, Alri, Marcia, all teal colored twi'leks, had their first gig in the bar, entertaining the audience and drawing more people in.

According to the management, the next Karaoke night can be expected in about a month.
