Recently a wave of new droid models has entered the market and many droid engineers and firms are building them as fast as they can to meet the demand. Some may have gone a bit too fast though, and forgone the needed quality testing.
Two days ago a guardian droid went out of control in Mos Eisley, attacking bystanders and even his owner, then attacking members of the MEPD who were nearby before he was destroyed.
So far it's unclear if there will be law suits against the producer of the droid - given the location of the incident, both the identity of its owner and the maker of the droid might be unclear.
