Three days ago the Imperial Navy launched an operation to destroy the rebel supply base in Deep Space as a first step in retaking the sector from rebel control. However the task force - roughly ten ships and supported by the Imperial Star Destroyer class ship "ISS Annihilator" - faced much stronger rebel forces than expected. They not only had to abandon the offensive operation but also lost the "ISS Annihilator" to several rebel bomber runs.
While the Imperial Fleet Sector Headquarters declined to comment on the situation, independent reports claim that the Alliance Fleet has achieved a clear advantage in power and numbers over the Imperial Navy in the local sector.
