According to the latest information the remains of Zaken Hub, a trade center on Talus controlled by the Corporate Sector Authority on Talus, have been taken over by the Galactic Empire. The city was reported to have been abandonned following a mysterious plague that struck the residents and turned a number of them into what survivors referred to as "the living dead".
Now a base, Fort Kane, stands where the trade center was before. According to the local commander the base is expected to serve as the predominant Imperial base in the system and home base for the JOG. The starport has been rebuilt and expanded to accomodate military vessels for (re)supply and troop deployment missions.
With the strong military garrison a number of busineses, some of them of a questionable nature, which cater to the needs and desires of soldiers have started to move in near the fort.
