According to a report from the Nova Orion Station two days ago an unidentified freighter was stopped by an Imperial Star Destroyer for what started as a routine inspection. When the freighter was ordered to dock and let a boarding party enter a tractor beam was employed to enforce compliance.
Before the freighter could be brought on board though the Star Destroyer came under attack by unknown snubfighters, damaging the tractor beam and allowing the freighter to escape.
So far it's not known if those attacks were launched from pirates, which are very active in the system, or the Alliance to Restore the Republic, protecting a supply freighter of theirs.

Battle in Libria

The town of Libria, central Corellia, usually a peaceful places, was the location of a violent battle two days ago. From what is known two combat droids attacked visitors, followed by an attack by armed and armored humanoids, likely mercenaries or criminals. In the middle of the resulting firefight between residents or visitors and the attackers a YT-2400 did a strafing run causing collateral damage as well as casualties on the attackers' side. The identities of all involved parties and their goals are not known by the press at this point.
CorSec is investigating the affair and has not released further information so far.

A few days ago Falcun Nix was admitted to the local Medical Center in a critical state, suffering from various symptoms that indicated either a serious illness or poison. Subsequent tests showed that the Corellian had been poisoned with a designer poison some time ago. The patient was put in emergency care and wounds were treated with Kolto after it was found that the poison reacted very negatively to bacta.
Falcun Nix was transferred from the hospital to an unknown location after a possible asssassination attempt by a rodian was stopped in extremis.

One week ago the IMC Convoy set out to transport ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to Ord Mantell's Nova Orion Station again, despite two pirated convoys in the weeks before. The convoy consisted of captain Dee'lin Sarlo's "Phoenix" and captain Britney's "Sugar Rush", with the "Defiance" and Falcun Nix flying escort.
This time the BWI pirates did not show up, though an unmarked "Vigo" class pirate gunboat attacked in the Corellia system, but succumbed to the combined firepower of the convoy in a short fight.

Sylauri almost killed on her wedding day

Three days ago, Sylauria married Sirovv Koadak, retired CompForce Commander of Fort Kane. Contrary to what one might have expected from a retired CompForce Commander, the ceremony was following twi'lek customs. Sadly, tragedy would strike at the happy couple mere hours later, when the bride was caught in a gun battle between what was described as a group of mandalorians claiming to be ISB agents and two unidentified people, right outside the Drgon's Rest Medical Center. The unfortunate twi'lek was near-fatally shot several times and suffered further injuries from a grenade explosion. Only the timely intervention of Lady Chy'na's personal doctor, edwacoo, saved her life in the middle of the battle, at great pesonal risk to himself.
Even so it was close call, the young woman needing to be revived twice on the operating table before placed in a bacta tank, next to another victim of the shoot-out. She was later moved to a safe but undisclosed location, in response to rumors that the mandalorian attackers were just claiming to be ISB, but actually assassins sent by Garubba the Hutt following Aak's death.

Nym arming up his forces?

Rumor has is that early last week Nym called in on a long-time contract made between him and the those who run the factories in New Kestic. There was a significant increase in activity around the town all week although the mayor and CEO said very little about it. Instead she could be heard complaining about the recently reopened imperial precinct in the town.
Last night a large convoy of land vehicles was seen leaving New Kestic and heading north towards The Stronghold. From what was observed the main transport was driven by CEO Amandiona Masnachwr with HarlieBear providing protection and was surrounded by smaller vehicles driven by Root, Lynese Shysa and Arzesaeth' Ernebee. Later on reports came in of a series of conflicts occuring at key river crossings which are known to be controlled by the numerous pirate groups on Lok. The convoy was seen arriving at a back entrance to The Stronghold some hours later.
Today Nym seems to have a larger presence of droids and his followers seem to be better armed, including state of the art weaponry on their ships. Whether this is related to the recent increase in activity by the BWI pirate group remains unclear.
