Last night the Galctic Empire declared martial law in the town of West Carova and took control of the settlement following a series of attacks and raids by mercenaries and mandalorian soldiers. The following press bulletin was released:
By Order of His Majesty's Stormtrooper Corps, the Township of West Carova has been placed under Martial Law.
For the next week, the following ordinances will be in effect:
- Possession of a weapon other then a small sidearm is made illegal, Sheriffs Deputies excluded.
- Use of Combat Armor is prohibited, anyone disobeying this will be detained, Sheriffs Deputies excluded.
- Demonstrations will not be tolerated and will be broken up by the Stormtrooper Corps
- A nighttime curfew is in effect
For the following 24 hours:
- The cantina known as The Dock is hereby closed for one day. Anyone attempting to enter will be detained.

Imperial Navy launches counter-offensive, beats Alliance fleet back

After two successive victories the Alliance to Restore the Republic suffered a defeat last night when an imperial task force took control of several star systems from them with a well-planned and executed offensive operation.
Skirmishes in Deep Space continued after the rebel units had withdrawn from the contested systems in the sector. The following short recording was taken from one such skirmish:

Last week the IMC hired two light freighters, the Nova Courier-class "Flame Out" owned and captained by Britney, and the "Kairn Tol", a YT-2400 captained by Seela Tualin, to transport ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell. Ahl-Vinn in a TIE Fighter and Nellari in a rhikxyrk flew escort.
The convoy was attacked by a pirate near the Deep Sea hyperspace jump point. In the following fight the pirate was shot down, but Ahl-Vinn's ship took damage and needed repairs before the trip could be continued to Ord Mantell.
IMC shares rose 1% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.

Imperial supply base in Endor raided

The offensive of the Alliance to Restore the Republic launched last week continued last night with a daring raid on an imperial supply base in the Endor system. Despite a heavy fleet presence in the sector the rebels arrived to board the station and escape with valuable supplies while imperial vessels were tied up in several skirmishes in other systems.

IMC Convoy reaches Nova Orion without trouble

The legal troubles that hampered the last convoy are solved, or so it seems, since the IMC-chartered freighters "Soda Pop", a Nova Courier class ship owned and captained by Britney, and the Y-8 "Celestia Belle" of veteran captain Barrenger Fynar, escorted by Kar'ista's ARC-170 "Condor", made the trip from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell without difficulties of that kind.
They were, however, difficulties of the pirate kind, though easily overcome. A single pirate attacked and was shot down by the convoy and its escort in the Tatooine system and the cargo wsa delivered safely to the Nova Orion Shipyards afterwards.
IMC shares rose 2% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.

After last week's battle in Deep Space the entire local sector saw heavy fighting last night, when a rebel push towards Corellia through several systems was only stopped in Corellia proper.
The rebel advance seemed to take the imperial forces by surprise, at least sources in the know state that two systems were overrun before there was a response by the sector fleet, and even so the rebel advance, spearheaded by half a dozen gunboats, continued until a final imperial counter-attack in Corellia.
The following record was released by the sector fleet HQ and shows part of a battle in the Tatooine system:

Six days ago, the Y-8 class medium freighter "Celestia Bell" made the trip from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell carrying ore for the Intergalactic Mining Corporation. The ship was escorted by Falcun Nix.
The ship was attacked at the "Desert Sands" Hyperspace jump point in the Tatooine system by a pirate, which was quickly shot down, During a stopover in the Corellia systen another pirate attacked and was dispatched as quickly.
The convoy ran into serious trouble only after landing at the Nova Orion Station, when the ship's documentation was deemed insufficient, which led to a heated
n exchange of words between the acting captain, the crew, representatives of the Yard as well as IMC management. The current status of the delivery was not made public.
IMC shares dropped 1% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.
