After rising pirate attacks the Intergalactic Mining Company upgraded the security for their latest cargo of ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine, to the Nova Orion Shipyards in Ord Mantell. The cargo was transported on the "Pride of Blasphemy", the well-armed and armored Incom X-4 class gunboat of veteran captain Inaera Kell. The ship was escorted by two Imperial fighters as well.
Despite this protection three unidentified ships, a YT-2400 and two Incom T-65 X-Wings, attacked in the Corellia System. All were destroyed though before the "Pride of Blasphemy" safely delivered her cargo to the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell.
IMC's stock rose 2% at the Coronet Stock Exchange following the news.

Rebel Admiral captured

According to the latest news operatives of the Galactic Empire recently managed to capture a high-ranking admiral of the fleet of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Details, especially the name of the captured officer, were not released.
Rumors claim that reports of a rebel attack on an imperial transport with secret cargo in the Dantooine system, which was later sighted in the Dathomir system, are related to this and part of a rescue attempt on the part of the rebellion which even reached the high-security prison on Dathomir.
As leaked footage shows though the rescue attempt, if it was, ultimately failed:

Iskar Creed, the current administrator of the Nova Orion Station in Ord Mantell, was attacked last night by an unidentified bounty hunter in grey mandalorian armor in the company of two men wearing stormtrooper armor. The three attackers fled with their ship - said to be a gunboat - before station security could apprehend them. The reason for the attack is not known, but rumors claim it is related to a member of the infamous Halcyon family.
Administrator Creed was treated in the local med center and released shortly afterwards. According to the latest news he has resumed his duties. In response to the attack a bounty was placed on the as of yet unidentified attackers.

Last night the YE-4 class Imperial Prison Barge "Epsilon" was attacked by pirates in the Ord Mantell system. Severly damaged in the fight the ship barely made it to the Nova Orion station, where it docked while mercenaries drove off the remaining pirates.
The ship underwent emergency repairs at the station until it was deemed fit to continue its course. Escorted by two freelance pilots the "Epsilon" made its way to the Tatooine System despite another attack by raiders on the way.
Whether any of the the crew and the "passenger", if any, were injured or killed during the attacks is not known, nor if the attack was random, or a planned rescue attempt.

Shuttle Crash near West Carova

Two days ago the Shuttle Besh 19, on a flight fromMos Vegas to Mos Eisley, crashed approximately 1500 m south of West Carova, killing the pilot on impact. The only passenger, a Sullustan named Gharett Rhall, survived though and managed to activated the emergency distress signal.
Two members of the Galactic Regulators lead by Sherrif Bas'ten were in the vicinity and responded, arriving just in time to prvent a horde of Tusken Raiders from killing the sullustan.
The raiders were driven off with massive blaster fire and suffered heavy losses while the wounded passenger was evacuated to the next clinic in West Carova.

Residents of the western suburbs of Mos Eisley reported a massive build-up of imperial troops at a base there - large numbers of stormtroopers supported by AT-STs and AT-ATs. Whether this is part of the extensive drills and exercises reported earlier or the first stage of a large-scale military operation is not yet clear.

IMC Convoy attacked by pirate YT-2400

Last week the Intergalactic Mining Company chartered a "Vigo"-class medium freighter from TTC to transport ore from Farpoint Valley, Tatooine to the Nova Orion Shipyards in Ord Mantell. The ship was piloted by Batair Highlander and crewed by Falcun Nix, Britney, Gharett and Emisra. Officer Hostan flew escort in an Interceptor.
Near the hyperspace point "Corsec Wing" the ships were attacked by a YT-2400 with no identification. A lengthy fight started which left the Interceptor badly damaged, though reinforcements arrived with a TIE Oppressor, and the pirate craft was destroyed after drawn-out battle.
The ore was safely delivered to the Nova Orion Station.
